The RECLAIMSOL project, coordinated by the University of Calgary in Canada, aims to restore the productivity of saline and sodic agricultural land in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, which have been affected by climate change. This project will test the effectiveness of soil amendments and crop rotations with legumes to improve soil health and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. An economic analysis will help assess the cost-effectiveness of the strategies. The results will be disseminated to farmers through publications and decision-making tools to help them optimise their practices.
