5th edition of the National Days of Agriculture
From June 6 to 9, 2025, the National Days of Agriculture will be held in France. This fifth edition, on the theme of “Better understanding agriculture for better consumption”, aims to bring citizens and players in the agricultural world closer together. Consumers will be able to get up close and personal with the world of agriculture by visiting farms, agri-businesses, research centers and other key players in the industry.
Since their launch in 2021, under the patronage of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, the National Days of Agriculture have become a privileged moment for exchanges between the public and professionals in the sector as a whole. Across the country, numerous players (farms, training centers, equipment dealers and processors) play the game and open their doors to let visitors discover the many facets of agriculture. The aim of these meetings is to give everyone the keys to making informed consumer choices.
The Minerallium opens its doors
To mark the occasion, the Minerallium, an exhibition hosted by the Roullier Endowment Fund, opens its doors to the public, enabling them to discover the little-known but essential role played by minerals, from the appearance of Life on Earth to their use in agriculture. In the form of guided tours, it offers a unique experience of immersion in the depths of the Earth to discover the secrets of its creation through that of its minerals.
Through four areas featuring a wide range of interactive activities, visitors are introduced to the challenges posed by minerals for tomorrow’s agriculture and plant, animal and human nutrition. Every living organism looks to its environment for the mineral matter essential to its development. Nourishing an organism means providing its cells with the elements they need to perform all the functions required for growth and reproduction (energy production, skeletal formation, reproductive capacity, etc.).
The exhibition was designed and implemented by museographer Aude Planterose and designer Benjamin Graindorge, with the scientific collaboration of the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle.
